I am sorry that I will start the review with a disappointed statement, but I should do it right now: ‘this movie does not feature anything special’’. Surely you expect a great comedy with such an actor as Martin Lawrence, but ‘Big mommas: Like father, like son’ certainly is not on the scale of its predecessors.
This is the third movie in Martin Lawrence’s comedy. It recounts the story of a FBI agent who finds himself forced to disguise. The movie is full of pretend-to-be funny moments, but it’s definitely unamusing affair and waste of your time.
Lawrence plays the role of Malcolm Turner, a FBI agent who is about to take down Russian mobster Chirkoff (Tony Curran). However, the person who provides the information is killed and Turner’s stepson Trent (Brandon T. Jackson) witnessed the murder. Hence, Malcolm is forced to go undercover at an all-girls performing arts academy. Malcolm becomes lady Charmaine. Malcolm and Trent are determined to chase the evidence at an all-girl art school where Big Momma becomes House Mother. The movie is full of art school music, funny moments, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that the storyline is fully accomplished. Obviously, it’s the worst of three series.
Sometimes I am concerned, because the review itself may ruin the magic of watching the movie. In this case, however, I think that you should surely read my review and have in mind that this is not the movie that will fulfill your expectations. Looking for a rom-com? Come on, there are plenty of them right now, so it’s not necessary to waster about 2 hours of your life with this ridiculous plot which is not consistent at all.
Is this the end for Big Momma? I am afraid not. These stupid, pretend-to-be movies still make a lot of bucks. We will see what will happen. If you don’t share my opinion, just let us know why you have liked this movie. I am confident that only 70-75% of the audience will like it, but I will be pleased to hear your opinion!

I actually haven’t watched the Big Momma series. I bet the first one is funny as hell!
But I wonder why a father would make his son crossdress as a slightly obese woman?
I know it may be a little disappointing since you expect so much from such a big actor, Martin Lawrence. However, there were many parts of the “Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son,” movie that were hilarious. If you love to laugh and will laugh at almost anything, then this movie is for you. If you don’t care about plots and organization of a movie, then you need to go see the “Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son,” movie for sure.
I love these movies! Martin Lawrence is hilarious! If you like him or his type of comedies, you should definitely check this movie out for a good laugh.
