‘’Just go with it’’ is the romantic comedy that has won the hearts of millions of spectators worldwide. The ad poster is pretty enticing as we can see the proven comedian Adam Sandler and sweet Jennifer Aniston, smiling and chatting at the background of gorgeous Hawaiian locations. It seems that our joy is guaranteed with such stars.

The funny comedy ‘’Just go with it’’ is the contemporary remake of the rom-com ‘’Cactus Flower’’, a movie that some of you may still remember even though it was released in 1969. I agree that almost four centuries have passed, but it’s a movie to remember. Yes, Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman and the charming Goldie Hawn are the stars in the original, so critics are ready to make their statements.
We are a bit of a disappointed, because the original version features different personages and it’s hard to perceive that the comedian Adam Sandler can play the role of Walter Matthau.
Just go with it-Synopsis
Adam Sandler plays the role of Danny Maccabee, a plastic surgeon lives his life in lies. What would you do if you dedicated to your sweetheart under the guise of a miserable, soon-to-be-divorced husband? Danny Maccabee has a pretty careless attitude to life, so lies are the easiest way to flirt with beautiful females and spend a night or two with them. The situation can change dramatically if you find the person of your dreams. Danny meets a young school teacher and builds a strong relationship which goes beyond the intimacy. Well, sometimes it’s a nightmarish task to rectify your lies or simply conceal them. In order to create a credible story which will replace his lie, Danny convinces his loyal assistant /Jennifer Aniston/ to pretend to be his soon to be ex-wife. Things can worsen at any time and this movie proves it in a remarkable manner. I am sure that you will soon notice that Adam Sandler’s acting is associated with improvisation and somehow he cannot fit into the role. The movie includes a series of predictable situations which are full of funny moments especially when the assistant is forced to involve her own kids in the story. The logical scenario perfectly foresees the journey which will trigger the change and provoke emotions. Everyone heads for a weekend in the Hawaii /yes, beautiful venue, but stop dreaming and carry on reading our review/. This weekend will change the lives of Danny and Katherine. Even though the plot is diverting and somehow romantic, please, don’t expect too much chemistry between Sandler and Aniston, because you will be disappointed.
Having in mind the roles of Nicole Kidman and Brooklyn Decker, you have good reasons to watch this movie.
Verdict
A good rom-com which provides the perfect relaxation for your weekend. Besides there are many funny moments and the remake suits teenagers and parents alike. Of course, we will recommend it for young couples, but I am not quite sure whether your boyfriend likes girly movies. My person score is 7 out of 10 primarily due to the lack of chemistry which is essential for a romantic comedy. Just Go With It demonstrates the improvisatory nature of our contemporary approach to our personality, family structure and sexual opportunity. Yes, it’s cute that cannot convince me to give it more than 7 scores.
Last but not least, I have watched an Indian version of the some storyline, so my personal opinion is that the actors surprised with a better interaction.
